The Secret to Spending Not A Lot

Just don't get a cart.

I went into Bed Bath and Beyond recently with my wallet, coffee and keys. No pockets.

I was on the hunt for a new paper towel holder because all of a sudden the dinky wood one I've had for ten years is annoying to view.

So I walked in and found one and in that one acquisition, my arms were full. I thought, "Should I get a basket? No... not even a cart."

If I just keep everything in my hands, I will walk out of here with maybe 1 or 2 purchases.

Add in some corn on the cob holders and I was at my limit. But if I could find a bath tub mat with Elmo on it, I'd scrunch it into my neck crevice or under an armpit.

Or just kick it down the aisle to the cash register.

Two different men asked if I needed a cart and my response was the same, to which one responded, but that's my point, you need to spend more here.

Well, at least he didn't hide his true feelings.
