Dentist Part 2

The kids were amazing at the dentist. Sydney just gets up on her surf board with the purple fin and throws on the ear phones for the movie (Marmaduke) and her glasses and they have at her.

Ethan is still the one I worry about because he's 3 and the last visit they had to scrape plaque off his front teeth.

He jumps up there, lets them put the sunglasses on AND earphones (a first). He melts into his surfboard and in comes the mechanical tooth brush. Easy Peasy....

Then the dentis goes into look at his teeth and says he indeed is a kid that builds plaque easy.... no matter how much I brush. So they have to scrape the rocks off. He winced a bit but he didn't cry for me. He just held the hand of the hygienist and was sooooo good!

When she said he had to get "bubbles" on his mouth for the fluoride, he put up a fight but just a few "no's". He let her try one and when she said, "See, now we just do the rest," he let her.

It was amazing. They even found him a Buzz Lightyear toothbrush. They took it out of the packet to show him how to brush his teeth and put it in his little bag.

I thought to myself... I have perfect children.

Didn't knock on wood and that was a mistake.

As we were walking out, Ethan realized his toothbrush had been man-handled by someone and now was not "new." He freaked out and wanted a new one. Note that it was the only one in the office.

Beggars can't be choosers and I begged that he would be perfect. I couldn't choose when he'd melt down but I'm so glad it was over the tooth brush not being in the package and not while getting rocks scraped off his teeth.

Just amazing.....
