Parental pride.

I realized what true pride is for me as a parent... it's when my child shows complete pride in herself.

I saw this last night when she jumped in the pool, held her breath and swam 3 breast strokes under water to me. When she comes up, all I see are these beaming eyes through IT-like hair. She's amazed at what she just did.
