I hate large crowds.
Apparently the DMV is a thing to do on Mondays. Today I was there trying to get my car registered in California and then get my license. I even did my makeup (hold the applause)! I'm dreading the experience... did i bring the right information? did i bring the right forms of ID? Are they going to freak out because my car title reads "Lynn Marie Claussen" and all my other documents read, "Lynn Claussen Weddle"? I'm going insane, better stop to get a brownie on the way (yummy.)
I get there and the line is coming out the door (oh thank goodness for the brownie). I go up to the first counter to get the 2 forms I have to fill out. The car registration form asks how much sales tax did I pay for the car. I just don't understand why this is needed since the car is paid off.
Well, did I have that info? No. So I called up darling husband and he doesn't pick up. "WHERE IS HE????" I don't remember the sales tax I paid!
OMG>>> YOU CAN"T USE YOUR CELL PHONE???? Guess that makes sense. If all 50 people in here were on their phone, it would be way louder than it is now.
I'm secretly using my cell phone to call hubby. He answers on his cell, "Hey. What's the matter?"
"I need to fill in the sales tax!!!???" DISTRESS>>>>
"I AM ON A CALL RIGHT NOW FOR WORK."
ME: "UGH, Fine. I'm coming home."
Was it just him that got my pantie-hose in a bunch? No... it was the 50 people, the smokers who needed a smoke about as much as I wanted to use my cell phone, all the yelling of numbers for people waiting. Maybe it was the sandwich I had just eaten was giving me a food coma.
No.... I just didn't want to fight a DMV'er about how unnecessary this piece of info was.
I left, with the forms. Came home and sales tax in Firestone, CO is 2 percent.
Sigh.... now I've got to put make-up on again next week!!!
