Last weekend we took the kids to the camp I was a counselor at. Sydney was dolled up for a fashion show vs. camp.
Within the first 20 minutes we're there, she fell down the stairs and scraped her back on an inch-wide stake and scraped her arm on a bush when we had to go around a gate to go see my old camp. Ethan's having a blast running around and running his fingers through the dirt.
On our way over to my old camp I start explaining where things were and I'm pointing around, using my hands. Ethan exclaims, "MOMMY STOP TALKING! The Trees are not talking. THEY have no arms."
Later, Sydney exclaims to Nathan, "Daddy, I don't like camp! It just has so much dirt."
Needless to say, I'll send Ethan to wilderness camp to commune with the trees and Sydney will go to cheerleading camp most likely.
