Sydney peeled a tangerine yesterday. Sometimes there are little slices embedded in the big ones.
Me: Are you going to eat those?
Syd: No mama. Those are my babies.
Me: Oh... you like the baby oranges?
Syd: No mama. those are my BAY-BEES.
Me: Ok... I don't understand. Why don't you want to eat them?
Syd: Mama... If I eat them, they will get into my stomach and be all chewed up. I don't want them to be chewed up. They are my cuties.
Me: Ahha... ok.
So we have a baggie in the fridge with little orange slices. They are very tempting to eat... but I swore I wouldn't eat them. I'm trying to entice her to fill her tummy up with yummy vitamin C. She's totally fine with eating the mom's and dad's... but not the babies.
