One is better. The other is worse. But other got better.

Riddle of a lifetime.... What gets sick, gets worse, gets better and spreads it? And the "it" gets worse but better at the same time?

Ethan didn't have croup... he had pneumonia. That was diagnosed within 24 hours after the croup. So we kept him home all week, but the hard part came when Sydney and I went to Texas for a visit (more to come on that later).

The exact second we stepped off the plane in Texas, Sydney started coughing. Many of you know that Texas set off Sydney's asthma and 2 bouts with pneumonia.

By Saturday morning, I was in urgent care (luckily I knew exactly where that was) and she was diagnosed with bronchitis. They think it was the same germ Ethan had but set off by the humidity in Texas.

Poor kid spent most of the trip sleeping. Got her back last night and into her asthma specialist today who immediately told us to go get chest xrays because he thinks we were fighting pneumonia all weekend!

She gets out of breath just walking up the stairs. Poor kid. But we finally made it through xrays without a tantrum. I think it was the special gelato at Piatti's right before.

On the bright side, the GI specialist said she has ruled out the possibility of Sydney having Hirschsprung's Disease. That means no barium enima and no biopsies... but it does leave the issue of "What is going on with her?" So we are onto more cleanouts and Miralax daily until February. More to come on this one too!
