I know, I know, I know...
But what is going on with the parents????
Nathan is of course busy at work and traveling a lot. I'm busy at work and traveling not.
We are purchasing a new HVAC system right now... I know! Keep the fireworks down to a minimum. We're as excited as you are!
We are keeping up with the kids. They really run the house.
They are keeping up with us and our workout schedules. I think that's the biggest change we've seen in the last year. We have both committed to a healthier life and living it. I started with my Fitchix bootcamp last February and that brought me to Father's Day where I gave Nathan two months at Cross Fit. He wasn't that happy with me but 7 months later, he's getting his strength back and can do pull-ups. So proud of him.
I am training for my second half marathon in march. It's an empowering feeling. I started CrossFit in late December and just love it. I've been able to get what I was doing in bootcamp and also able to get back to heavier lifting. It's interesting how different I attack the workouts now than when I was 19 or 21. I've had so many issues with my shoulder the last few years that I definitely have to be careful.
For Valentine's day we are having a couples workout night at The Dailey Method. Yep, I'm taking Nathan off a rower, out of CrossFit and putting him in a room with other hubbies and we're doing some downward facing dog and ballet stretching.
In 2011, not a lot is happening. We have a trip planned in April to Chicago for the two of us. There are points to be spent for a trip and we're having discussion of Colorado for the family this year or maybe something for the two of us in 2012 that might coincide with the Olympics? Who knows.... the new family member is impeding on those plans... the new HVAC system. We'll call her Bessie.
And at some point... I might need to get out my christmas cards. 'Course by now, maybe easter cards?
