We didn't end up in the hospital.
We got the call last night after a 3 hour ordeal of Dr. office, chest x-rays and pharmacy. Sydney has pneumonia.
You never quite fully understand that people die of this. Most people think it's so treatable but bad things can occur with it. We were lucky we caught it when we did else we would probably be at the hospital with IVs stuck in her. It's just a horrible thing.
And you can't believe how it can come on so quickly. This time, we were even on all the right drugs and this nasty bug just got the better of her.
Dr. appointment tomorrow for her checkup and the Dr. is going to be so nice to check Nathan too who I believe has lost at least one of his lungs.
It's been so hard to not be around Sydney and snuggle her like she wants. But I can feel a cough in me and I really need to stay healthy with everyone else so sick. It's very hard.
And this derails my training for my 1/2 marathon in a few weeks. I was supposed to do a workout yesterday of 20 minutes of 800 m runs and I just didn't have time. Today I'm going to try to get something done but of course am worried that it will exacerbate the cough. Taking chances though.
