Turning Three

Moments of Ethan's third year

Social: Has made so many friends! Danny, Gavin and Christian are his BFF's. He's got a gift for hob-nobbing since one is the director's son and the other is the district manager's son. He just has to learn to play nice.

His girlfriends are Kaylane, Hazel and Maya. Haley Carnine is his wife and she is waiting for him at his new school.

Gavin and Ethan have known each other since they were 4 months old. It's been amazing to watch these boys grow up. I fear taking him away from Gavin, Christian, Hazel and Kaylane because they've been with each other since they were babies.

Use of the word friend
He asks me if I'm his friend. He uses it against me when he's mad, "YOU'RE NOT MY FRIEND."

time out:
Ethan will sometimes put himself in timeout. I thought this was his way of getting out of trouble but I started to think it's his way of self-calming.

favorite toys:
Mack the truck, Lightening mcqueen (blue specifically), Blue Chick Hicks.

Nothing beats the blankies still. He must have his big one for nap and then his "O" blankie. "O" is how he says "other." He doesn't understand what "other" means so it became the blanky's title.

Favorite books:

Behaviors:
Even though Ethan is all boy with his attitude, he is funny and likes to make you laugh.

He is showing he cares, especially with me. I had a really bad day once. I told him I'd appreciate some cooperation and told him I'm not feeling very good. He frowns, walks over to me, pulls my head to his chest and says, "Mommy, not feeling good. Need hugs."

He has started asking questions about why the world works. Why does Uncle Paul live over there? Why does Sydney have a Tigger? How can Clifford be a big white ghost when there are no ghosts? Why was Clifford under the sheet? How did Clifford get the sheet off?

And in the end of every conversation, he will surely end it with, "You don't EAT it!"

He is very physical and loves to bonk into you. He's got an adorable tummy that I just love to kiss. He's simply amazing in every way and we are truely blessed to have him in our lives.
