OK.. I may not be too up to date, but historically CA (my state now) has voted Democratically for presidents. So I have a feeling CA will vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
Now... onto local issues. I'm searching for blogs about issues at hand right now. Here's one I found:

Items I worry about:
- Healthcare
- Environment
- Public Transportation
- Education
Something I want to learn more about:
- Impact of Prop 13 on our state. Would we be in the financial crisis we are in today if this had never been?
- Do we really want to be the state that says, "Hey... the governor person isn't doing so well... we should just get rid of him." Because letting everyone and their stripper run for governor is such a better alternative. I need to go talk to our Uncle Dennis! that's who can help me.
Should I worry about immigration? Who's going to mow my lawn? Just kidding!

It's a little...okay, A LOT...different than the south.
I've been here six years (moved here from Kentucky) and I'm still wondering what the heck is going on with this state! :)
