Sydney is just growing away. She's at 39 inches already, getting so tall. She's in her big girl bed all time, she looks so small in there. The best part about it is we have more oppt. for snuggles. She'll curl right into us at night or if she's still asleep in the morning. The other day I walked in at 7:30 and there were no signs of Sydney or her 20 stuffed animals. I thought maybe she had them in the bathroom, taking a bath... nope... then she came out of the computer room. She had taken them all in there.
She's very adament about me not touching anything of hers. "Sydney do it." "No mama. No touch sydney stuff." and so it begins, she's exactly like me and Nathan gets upset when I actually have the patience to let her do everything.
She's helping bake a lot. The other day we made muffins. I was getting the flour out of the pantry. When she saw it, her eyes lit up so wide and screamed, "Oh, mama! I help!" And she ran to her shelf to get her measuring cups. She spent most of the time in her own bowls pouring milk, bran cereal and raisins back and forth. She does waffles every morning, getting them out and putting them in the toaster.
Potty training is at about 70% right now. She's mostly in pull ups but she's starting to stay dry during naps more. I just let it be her choice if she wants panties or pull-ups. It's all "Sydney do it," when taking her pull-ups off.
She's very sympathetic. I burned my hand the other night on the stove and she came over, "Oh poor mama (kiss)". It's cute.
