Library story time antics
Last night was Pajama story time at the library. The theme was Penguins and the activities always start after reading "Pajama Party" by Sandra Boynton. There were songs, stories, movies and an art project revolving around the theme.
During "Pajama Party" the kids all get up and have a Pajamja Parade. Sydney decided to lead the whole thing, hand-in-hand with the librarian.
Later, as they read a book about shuffling penguins, all the kids were standing, trying to shuffle. Sydney did one better, she went to the front of the room, in front of about 50 people and shuffled with the librarian.
Last, Sydney did the art project, where they created the penguin. There was a model of the completed project on a bulletin board in the front of the room. When everyone was done, they were allowed to take the project home. But our daughter felt hers needed to stay there with the other penguin. It was posted on the bulletin board as well.
