Kid update

It's been a while. I"m writing this more for me as a diary than for anyone else.

Sydney: 7.5 years old.
55.2 inches tall, 1.8 away from the car seat law!
Second grade.
Greatest saying out of her mouth lately: "Mom, was I being serious? Yes."
She's answering her own questions.
Girl Scout Brownie.
Loves her Tigger and Ruthie doll.
Loves reading chapter books.
Getting bossy. Need to tame. But still one if the nicest kids around.
Loves swimming.
Training for a 5K run.
Loves tumbling.
Broke her arm in September 2011.
Loves Phineus and Ferb but also Good Luck Charlie and Hannah Montana.

Ethan: 4.5 years old
Not sure on height but he's right on target.
Pre-pre school at Montessori.
Went to see snow for his first time this year and wanted to do the following: Inner tubes down big hill by himself. Make snow angels. Make foot prints. Carry big snow balls home for Sydney and climb mountains and slide down them.
Favorite past time is taking trio building blocks and making the following: Rocket ships, iron giants, buildings and buildings that double as robots.
Catatonic when coloring.
Still sucks his thumb.
Still has a love affair for his blankets.
Sassy but is starting to understand what sassy means and get control around it.
Realized he had two teeth lying around from 3 years ago and wanted to give them to the tooth fairy.
Wants snuggles all the time on his demand.
Loves songs at night time. Loves to sing "I'm getting nothing for christmas."
Believes his daddy will start his snow globe collection this week. Just like Sydney.

Together
I have seen some siblings together at this age and I have to say that Sydney is the best big sister in the world. It is all because of her and her love for younger kids that these two "work."

Family:
We've taken the kids hiking a bit this year and I imagine there will be some family hikes this summer.
We've taken our first movie outings this last year.
We are having a bike outing this next weekend.
We are having angry bird fights. Kids vs. Parents all over the house but the best ones are when the kids are upstairs and parents are downstairs.
