For those that don't know, Sydney is a bottomless pit. Always hungry, even with all the essential food groups in her AND her daily dose of 25 grams of fiber. No matter what you feed her (after dinner tonight was a piece of VDay candy and a half piece of lemon bread).
One of Sydney's jobs at home now is to make her lunch. She gets on her stool and cuts her own bread in half and makes her sandwich. She gets her baggies out and puts everything into her lunch box. During the part where I am cutting up a pear for her, she starts limping around the kitchen and moaning in pain.
At first I thought she had stepped on something... you know, one of those little somethings you step on in a kitchen that feels like a small pebble?
"Honey, where does it hurt??" I'm trying to express true sympathy.
"Oh Mama, it hurts right HEeeeeerrrre," as she points to her calf. I begin to think of growing pains.
"Oh I'm so sorry honey! Can you go get a baggie for your pear?" naturally trying to take her mind off it.
"Oh Mama... My leg hurts so bad, it needs FOOOOOOD." Whined in complete, 100% seriousness.
I couldn't say a thing. I couldn't smile to show that every INCH of me inside is DYING laughing.
"How about you go get me that baggie and I'll give you a slice of pear?"
Smile on her face appears and a successful, "OK!" Leg was all better.
I think the tapeworm is making her say these things.

Elliot was recently a bottomless pit and then he was an inch taller!
The making lunch is awesome. She's so grownup! but can I be all green and suggest getting rid of the baggies? Reusable containers or I've seen cute bento boxes for kids lunches.
