Snuggle with Sydney

Lately Sydney only wants Daddy when he's around. He plays with her and reads her books. But tonight Nathan had to get to bed early because he's got to pick Mom up from the airport at 5:30a.m.

So I gave Sydney her bath and read her books. I had to write about this now or I'd forget. So I built her castle in the bathtub about 3 times while the triangles were the prince and princess. Then we got dressed, finally in her princess shorts jammies I bought a few months ago that she wouldn't wear. She picked out 5 books to read. Two of which I made really silly by switching out the words. She just laughed sooooo hard. Had me read each two times the "Silly way." Then we had to brush teeth. Then I got her into bed to sing songs. I asked if she wanted songs and she said no... immediately followed by "Hush little baby?" Of course. So I sang to her that song along with ABC, Silent Night, Jingle bells and Rudolph. I think she was asleep through Jingle bells... right in my arms, snuggled up tight, grasping Tiggers tale. Meanwhile, Ethan is pounding into her back from my stomach.

This will probably be the last time I read to my one child without feeling guilty about the other one. She was so snuggly and it makes me think that I wish she would never grow up. I need her to remain my baby.
