What's happening in our neck of the woods?

Just an update for our sakes....

Ethan:

20.5 months old.

New words: Tree, sock, sydney(melt your heart), bush, duck, sock, faffle (waffle), KA (car, truck), he-whoa-cokter (helocopter), bit-bit(frog), MAAA (cow),

First sentence: No Mo Wawa. (No more water) Who Dat? (asks who is on the phone) Way Daddy? (Where's daddy?)

Signs: Milk and help

Makes really silly faces like Ben Stiller's Zoolander Magnum look. Have yet to capture on camera.

Has decided to be a body builder. He tenses his whole body up as if he'll pound out his max.

Finally decided his sister has a good lap to sit in.

Discovered who Elmo is. Not sure how because he doesn't watch a bit of TV. But we have a book "Elmo gets a big boy bed" and he goes crazy over it. He's not happy with one page because Elmo isn't looking straight on out of the page. he's looking at his bed. Ethan keeps asking "MOmo?"

Best friends are TyTy, Julia and Gavin at school.

Throws the absolute worst tantrums after school. It's like clockwork. He finishes dinner, we're still eating and we sit him on the floor. That's when he unleashes hell on us. Ethan's Inferno. Last night, he got mad at something in the tub and started throwing things at me. OH. That boy was out of that tub, jammies on and left to cry himself to sleep in about 2 minutes.

Sydney:

Girls are definately easier than boys when they are younger, at least that's my experience. Sydney is my girly-girl... the love of my life right now. My favorite moment with her was swimming with her. She sometimes will have me hold her and she snuggles so close with me, it's like having my baby back. Her feet get wrapped around my waist and she leans back to float in the water. Her hair gets pulled away from her face and all I see is my baby... bigger... but my baby, the one with no hair.

When we need her to go take a nap, we trick her. We ask if she'd like a massage and she jumps at it. So I take her to her bed and get the lotion. Usually within 5 minutes, she's out.

Her favorite books are still her encyclopedia and yearbook from school.

Her favorite songs are a barbie diamond castle song, We will rock you by Queen and a love song she made up.

Her most recent story was very long. It was about her cousin Jude. He's was older and they were had bedrooms next to each other. He broke his hand and needed eleven stiches in his wrist. Then something about a monster came to get them at Disney land, that's where their rooms are. I can't do it justice.

Favorite t.v. show is Toot and Puddle.

She's still on her mask 2x/day and singulair. It's the dead of summer and for our first time in 3 years we've gone a full 6 weeks without an unscheduled visit to the doctor. Love it when all the spores die. Die spores. Die.
