Sydney's reaction to Ethan
Have to document this too....
First and foremost, Sydney ADORES and LOVES her baby brother. She just wanted to hold him from day one. She makes sure he always has his baby dinosaur.
While she loves on him however, she pummeled us. She obviously wasn't getting the attention she normally gets. She didn't like having other people in the house, like mom, dad and Pat. We finally equalized around 2 months out.
Here are some funny stories about Sydney during the first few months.
Breast feeding:
The activity mat has a "tummy time" bolster. Sydney took the bolster and called it a "boppy".
"I need to feed my froggy with my boppy."
She took the boppy on her lap, placed froggy on it. Lifted her shirt to show her nipple and said, "Look, froggy is drinking from my mole." Nathan and I couldn't stop laughing and had to get pictures. She thinks her nipples are moles because they look like all the moles on my body.
Crying
Oh she hated hearing Ethan cry. "Mommy, he's loud and it hurts my ears."
Pooping.
The Friday after Ethan was born we had newborn pictures taken of him. One set was with Sydney holding Ethan. As she is holding him, he starts to spit up. Oh, he's butt naked during the picture. While I'm cleaning up the spit I hear Sydney whine in despair, "Mommmmmy.... What's this????" Her hand, closest to Ethan's butt, is held up and has yellow slime on it. I looked over and he just poohed all over Sydney's dress. She's so distressed that Ethan left her a little present. Had to hurry and get it all off before Sydney went balistic and ordered me to return her baby brother from where he came from.
