Halloween costume search

Sydney decided about a month ago that she will be a princess for Halloween, go figure. So I went searching for a dress... not something from Target, but a nice dress. I found one online at a princess store. It took me two weeks to pick the best one. Best equating to 1) short sleeves since we live in Houston 2) no tulle since it falls apart 3) the right size 4) matching shoes (in the right size of course).
Finally I found it. The Gala Princess Dress (Oh, did I mention I had to get pink because I didn't want Sydney to be an outcast when she wore this get-up to school). I ordered it August 30. I emailed them about 2 weeks later asking why it hadn't been sent. They wrote back telling me that they had sent me a notification the weekend prior (which I doubt since I don't have spam blocker and I've received emails from them) that the dress was held in customs.
They told me they were sorry and to look around for another dress. I did. But first, I went to check the one I had originally purchased and the same size was STILL there. I got pissy. I wrote back telling them they had to tell me which dresses they had because I didn't trust their site. I wrote them 5 times for 2 days. Never heard back from them until four days later.
Needless to say, I cancelled the order, but not without an email war. I was telling them they had not responded fast enough and they still had the dress as available. They told me they had responded (referring to the one time) and sent me the message again, to proove they did. I responded back that
- I did receive it the original time, not debating it. But they never responded to the 5 emails I sent back inquiring about product availability.
- They still have that dress as available on their site!
They finally stopped responding. At least I got the last word in. I knew I should have just gotten the dress at Gymboree, even if it was blue.
